The Library Key

On Saturday morning, Amir went to the local library to return two books. A sign said the library should be open, but the door was locked. Three other people were waiting outside, including a with a small child.
At 10:15, the librarian arrived and looked . ‘The morning assistant is ill, and I left my key at home,’ she explained. Going home would take forty minutes. Amir remembered that the community centre next door kept spare keys for the building.
They asked at the centre and found the correct key. The library opened only twenty minutes late. The librarian removed Amir’s late-return fee and gave the waiting child a bookmark for being patient.
